Permissible Values

Value	Meaning	Description
officeholder	None	Current or former elected or appointed public official, or judge.
candidate	None	Has filed or publicly declared for public office.
senior_staff	None	Senior government, party or campaign staff who are publicly listed or speak publicly in that role (chiefs of staff, campaign managers, spokespeople, communications directors). Junior staff are excluded.
media_figure	None	Journalist, editor, host or commentator with regular bylines or air time in a political capacity.
public_figure	None	Other people with a sustained public role in politics: lobbyists of record, major donors, think-tank leaders, advocacy-group leaders.
